Oh don't talk about winter... I live in Scotland, and this year it seemed like winter just never...stopped.

So're you graduated now then? I forget how things work south of the border where we are forced to do Masters degrees. What are you up to?

one year left of BA, just writting dissertation so sat in the libary most days.
did you go to san fran? how was that?

I did go to San Fran, it was blissful. Temperatures around the 100F mark most of the time, lots of wandering in the sun going to Beat places -- drank in Vesuvios, went to Kerouac Alley and City Lights, I was a fangirl. Also saw the Fillmore Street jazz festival and dug some hippy goings-on in Haight Ashbury. UK sucks in comparison.

I'm also dissertationing. Allen Ginsberg, old Buddha of American poetry. You introduced us, remember?

ah yes, the man with the big beard, jewish, prob the best of that lot. have not really read any beat beat for ages, but listened to some recordings of his, was impressed.
